Eyes search and hands fall and life empties out. Once strong and once so tall, now all is leveled; simply leveled out. Then, after, (must be an after) rubbles cleared away in boxes and in polished urns and I stand, wordless, and pray, with hands rising, to say that I will love. I will love. And that no matter the danger, no matter what the final cost or the careful wagers, and that no matter the risk of loss, no matter what the hurt, or the fear, I will love. Yes, I will love. I will love, ever, I will love, always. From this grave moment on with honor I will love. What beliefs, what actions can I take now? Are there things to do to fill in all the spaces? Are there goals that make sense not to break now? Is there something left to balance out the day? I will love, ever, I will love, always. From this day, I am honoring this life with love, I am showering this life with love. Never forget. I will never forget. And I will love. And I will love. I will love, ever, I will love, always. From this day of days, I will love, yes, I will love. I will love, ever, I will love, always. From this life of lives, I will love, yes, I will love, always. I will love, yes, I will love. |
