Song Notes: This is a light take on the heavy subject of unrequited love and rejection. The upbeat mood of the song speaks to the happy lies we tell ourselves to make us feel better. There's more happening in the music than the lyrics express.
Jazz guitar (McBoy) and clarinet (Bill Barner) provide a special playfulness to the first part of the piece. McBoy's rock guiter solo and Bill's saxes in the second half help provide punch. Thanks, guys.
