Song Notes: My take on this song differs from the triumphant show stopper usually performed on stage.
I tried to personalize it by singing from the point of view of someone who knew the dream is impossible, as the lyrics state, yet perserveres, nonethless. It is recorded withought a wind screen on purpose, although a rather esoteric purpose. I wanted the listener to feel my breath, like pressure on the ear. To reach out beyond the limits of space and time and life and death. I also wanted to approximate a live performance as much as possible, even though I was the only person in the room at the time.
Like all of these songs, please pay special attention to the piano. I hope it speaks for itself.
