A Youth Musical about Peer Pressure and Avoiding Drugs
available on YouTube Music, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify

A musical drama for youth about the dangers drugs pose to the joys of living, Say "Yes" to Life is recommended by several councils for adolescent drug abuse, including NASADAD.

The play depicts a day in the life of a typical American student...showing all the frustrations, fears and temptations of today's youth with irony and humor. This 40-minute musical tour de force helps youth to understand and cope with the problems of drug and alcohol abuse, peer pressure, dysfunctional families and self-esteem. The characters find the courage to be themselves, the hero within. The music is contemporary and the lyrics are truthful, hard-hitting, inspiring and memorable. Includes a list of contacts where youths can go for help.

Originally produced by CenterStage Productions, Kim Vanderhyden and Tobin Mueller, in 1989. Remastered for this release. Recorded at Saxe Studios. Appropriate for grades 4-12; target grades for stage performance: 6-9. See CenterStage-Musicals for more information. Or, contact Tobin Mueller.
